Rink Rebels
x ECI — Spring Hockey 2026
“Where hockey builds character, connection, and confidence.”
Rink Rebels and East Coast Ice (ECI) have partnered to create a spring experience built on the right values — community, development, quality coaching, and opportunities for every player. Spring 2026 will be the most organized, positive, female-focused program yet, designed to elevate girls’ hockey across New Brunswick.
The Rink Rebels Family — Where Hockey Feels Like Home
Spring hockey should be something girls look forward to all year — not because of standings or trophies, but because of the memories, friendships, and moments that last long after the season ends.
When a girl becomes a Rink Rebel, she’s not just joining a team.
She’s joining a family.
A family that cheers for each other.
A family that celebrates confidence and courage.
A family that values kindness, effort, and fun over everything else.
A family where every girl — no matter her skill level or hometown — feels welcomed the moment she steps into the rink.
This program isn’t built around wins and losses.
It’s built around friendships, laughter, teamwork, and life-long memories.
We want players to remember the hotel hallways, the team breakfasts, the new friendships, and the first moment they truly felt confident on the ice. Those are the moments that matter. Those are the moments that shape strong, confident young women.
Rink Rebels x ECI is about creating a supportive environment where girls can grow, smile, learn, and love the game — without pressure, without politics, and without limits.
This is where hockey becomes family.
This is where it becomes fun.
This is Rink Rebels.
The Vision Behind Our Partnership
This partnership formed naturally — both groups share the same vision:
• Development-first programming
• Balanced, competitive environments
• Community-driven hockey accessible to all
ECI brings years of experience operating successful female spring programs.
Rink Rebels brings grassroots energy, community connections, and a fast-growing movement built around supporting girls’ hockey.
Together, we’re creating a long-term spring system that lifts players, families, and communities across the province.
The Rink Rebels Spring Philosophy
Spring is a chance to reset after a long winter season — to breathe, grow, and enjoy the game with renewed excitement.
Build confidence
Give girls space to try new things, make mistakes, and discover what they’re capable of without pressure.
Strengthen skills in a supportive environment
Development happens fastest when players feel encouraged. Our coaches create sessions that are fun, positive, and tailored to each age group.
Connect girls across communities
Spring hockey is about friendships and expanding their hockey world. Girls meet new teammates, build new bonds, and feel part of something bigger.
Form teams based on people, not politics
We remove the noise. No labels, no behind-the-scenes decisions — just fair, balanced teams built with intention and community in mind.
For 5–6 weeks, you’re part of something that matters — a positive, welcoming culture built around confidence, connection, and fun.

Performance Growth Stream (Tier 2)
Designed for players looking for structured development, good competition, and a supportive, balanced atmosphere. Ideal for players coming from A or AA environments.
Competitive-Plus Stream (Tier 1)
For players who enjoy a quicker pace and a bit more challenge, all in a fun, supportive Rink Rebels environment. A great fit for athletes who’ve experienced faster settings — AA, AAA — and want a spring season that stays exciting, positive, and confidence-building.
Every stream receives the same high-quality coaching and development model.
Fredericton Spring Structure
Fredericton is the heartbeat of the Rink Rebels movement — the place where this idea took off, grew with the community, and set a new standard for what hockey can be. Families here pushed for a more positive, connected experience, and that spark became the foundation for everything we’re building across New Brunswick.
This approach isn’t a trend — it’s a culture. A culture where girls look forward to spring, where the pressure drops, and the fun rises. Where teams feel like communities, and where development, confidence, and friendships come first. Fredericton families led the way, and families from all over New Brunswick have helped it grow — and we’re committed to protecting the values that make this model work as it expands.
• Single-player registration
• Half-ice practices transitioning to full-ice development groups
• Early hotel blocks secured for the May Long Weekend Moncton tournament so families can stay together
Hybrid-Draft-Style Team Building (Fredericton Area)
To keep teams fair and balanced, Fredericton will use a draft-style formation system:
• Coaches can “protect” three core players to keep together — typically their own children if applicable.
• Remaining players join a friendly, balanced draft
• Parents can share requests, and coaches will take them into consideration within the balanced team-building process.
• Teams are built for fun, friendships, and development
Each division will be structured based on real numbers, the level of play, and what’s best for the girls.
We’ll always do our best to accommodate requests, but we’re committed to keeping things fair, fun, and true to our values. We guarantee a positive, inclusive environment for every player.
